Cherry Charm Privacy Policy
Last updated October 16, 2026
Cherry Charm is a slot-machine game played with play money only. Nothing in it can be won, cashed out or exchanged for anything of value. This page explains what information the game keeps, why, and how you can have it deleted.
Cherry Charm is made by Linksus, LLC, Boulder, Colorado, USA. Questions about this policy or your information go to [email protected].
The short version
- We don't ask for your real name, email address, phone number or location.
- We don't show ads, don't track you across other apps or websites, and don't sell or share your information.
- We keep only what the game needs to work: your play, your scores and your friends list.
- You can delete your account and its information at any time, inside the game.
- If you don't open Cherry Charm for 90 days, we delete your account and everything in it, including your bank.
What we keep
- Your account. A random account number, the name shown on boards (one we give you, or one you choose), and your friend code.
- Your devices. A random number the game makes for each phone or tablet you play on, and the game version it runs. This is not Apple's advertising identifier.
- Your play. Each day's spins, bets and results, your play-money bank, your place on the boards, and the days you played.
- Your friends. Who you are friends with, friend requests, people you have blocked, and any player you report.
- Messages to us. What you write through Help & feedback and our replies. So we can help, the message also carries the game version, your device type and its software version.
- Purchases. If you unlock the full game, Apple takes the payment. We never see your card or bank details. We receive only the fact and date of the unlock.
- Fair-play checks. We check play for signs of cheating, and record the result against the day it was found in.
Your internet address
We never store your IP address. To stop people guessing friend codes, we keep a scrambled one-way code made from it for 2 days, then delete it. It can't be turned back into your address without our server's secret key.
Crash reports
If you have turned on sharing with app developers in your iPhone or iPad settings, Apple may send us crash reports. They do not include your name or contact details. You can turn this off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Why we use it
- To run the game you asked to play: save your bank, show the boards, and connect you with friends.
- To keep the game fair and safe: catch cheating, stop abuse, and answer reports.
- To answer you when you write to us.
For people in the UK, the legal bases are performing our agreement with you (running the game) and our legitimate interest in keeping it fair, safe and working.
Who can see it
- Other players see your board name and scores on the boards, if you leave boards switched on. Friends see your name and scores on the Friends board.
- Cloudflare runs our servers and stores the game's information in the United States, under data-processing terms that limit it to doing that for us.
- Apple handles purchases and delivers the app.
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. If the law requires us to hand over information, we will give only what is required.
How long we keep it
- Your account, bank, daily results and friends list: until you delete your account, or until 90 days pass without you opening the game, whichever comes first.
- Individual spins and bets: 90 days.
- Messages to us: one year after the conversation is closed, or sooner if your account is deleted.
- The scrambled code made from your internet address: 2 days.
Accounts not used for 90 days
We keep as little as we can, for as short a time as we can. If none of your devices opens Cherry Charm for 90 days, we delete your account and everything linked to it, exactly as if you had deleted it yourself. This includes your bank and your place on the boards, and it cannot be undone. Opening the game while connected to the internet is enough to keep your account; you don't have to play. If you come back after it has been deleted, you start again with a new account. If you had unlocked the full game, use Restore purchase to get the unlock back. Your old bank does not come back.
Deleting your account
In the game, go to More, then Delete account. This removes your account and everything linked to it: your bank, play history, board places, friends and messages. It cannot be undone. You can also ask by writing to [email protected].
Two things are kept after deletion, and neither is linked to you: your old friend code, so it is never given to someone else, and, if you asked us to approve a name the filter blocked, that name on our list of allowed names.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. The easiest way is Help & feedback in the game, because it tells us which account is yours. You can also write to [email protected]; we may then ask for your friend code to find your account. We will answer within one month.
If you are in the UK and are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the same rights described here. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
Age
Cherry Charm is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a child is using it, write to us and we will delete the account.
Security
Information travels between the app and our servers encrypted. Your sign-in details are kept in your device's secure storage. Access to our servers is limited to the people who run the game.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the game first.
